10 out of 10 recommend! We've had many massages in our lives, but a head spa scalp massage was something that we had never heard of until recently. They're not that popular yet in San Diego, but they will explode!

The instant that we came into the studio, we felt instantly at peace. We did the 75-minute couples treatment, where we were pampered, at peace, and given great information about our scalp that we weren't even aware of before. It's quite a unique experience! I instantly fell asleep because the ambiance, the treatment, and the water flowing over your hair was just so comfortable. My wife, on the other hand, was able to be a little bit more awake during the process and immediately said that we need to do this monthly.

It's a gentle treatment that helps relieve tension in places you never thought of before in a really elegant, peaceful way to get some pampering, great with someone else or just by yourself.

I had such a relaxing and rejuvenating head spa massage. The gentle massage, soothing environment, and attention to detail made it a wonderful treat. I left feeling refreshed, calm, and my scalp and hair felt amazing afterward. It was also great to learn about the condition of my scalp and receive personalized insights. Even the blow-drying portion was surprisingly relaxing. Lisseth was kind, calming, & professional throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend this service to anyone looking for a self-care and relaxation.

My mother, sister and I booked appointments to celebrate a belated Mother's Day. The whole staff was amazing, they even had champagne for us when we arrived. The spa service was fantastic, so relaxing, and will definitely do it again! To top it off, there are so many small details they attend to that most salons overlook. Every member of this staff takes pride in their work, and are examples of true hospitality.

I surprised my girlfriend with a birthday massage at Unplugged Headspa 5171 Mission Center Rd #5, San Diego, CA 92108, and the entire experience exceeded expectations from start to finish.

I booked her the 75 minute facial scalp massage and, according to her, it was the best massage she has ever received. Her masseuse was professional, intentional, and clearly skilled. She took her time, knew exactly where to apply pressure, and made my girlfriend feel completely comfortable throughout the entire session. Nothing felt rushed. Everything felt customized and thoughtful.

What truly stood out was the attention to detail. They knew it was her birthday and went above and beyond they surprised her with a Nothing Bundt Cake and a handwritten birthday card. That level of care matters. As a business owner myself running WE TRUK, I pay attention to service standards. Small, intentional touches like that are what separate good businesses from exceptional ones.

After the treatment, they served her hot tea, set her up with a heating pad, and made sure she left relaxed and cared for. We even received a post-treatment follow-up text to ensure she was handling aftercare properly. That level of follow-through is rare.

Everything about this experience was top tier. Professional service. Elevated atmosphere. Personal touches. Thoughtful follow-up.

This was easily one of the most indulgent spa experiences I’ve had. Everything felt well thought of, elevated, and beautifully executed.

We did the 75-minute couples treatment and it went far beyond a scalp service; it felt like a full reset from head to upper body. The facial, the scents of the products, and the flow of the treatment were all incredibly calming.

The massages were outstanding, not just the scalp, but also the neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. Every touch felt unhurried and deeply relaxing. What truly stood out was the personal care: a warm welcome, handwritten notes and tea. My hair felt light, clean, and healthy afterward, and they took their time drying and styling it. It felt like a refined, high-end spa experience rather than just a head spa. I only wish I’d booked longer. Highly recommend for anyone looking to truly unwind. Overall an incredible experience from start to finish. The space is very calm, private, and beautifully designed, and the head spa treatment was genuinely next level. You can really tell they care about scalp health and overall wellness not just styling, though Jaimie did an exceptional job with that as well. I walked out feeling refreshed and very much reset mentally. If you’re looking for a true Japanese head spa experience in San Diego, this place is absolutely worth it. Pops loved it too haha !!!

Unplugged Headspa was exactly what I didn’t realize I needed. From the moment I walked in, the environment made it easy to fully shut off. The treatment itself felt like a complete mental and physical reset. The experience was intentional, unhurried and incredibly relaxing. It was more than just a head massage, it was a much needed reset. The staff is professional, intuitive and clearly focused on quality, not volume. I walked out feeling lighter, calmer and genuinely refreshed. Worth every penny, and I’ll absolutely be back when I come back to San Diego.

I took my sister to Unplugged Head Spa as a gift while we were visiting from Washington, and it was such a great experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing.

The head scalp massage was amazing—very soothing and done with so much care. We both left feeling incredibly relaxed and refreshed. My sister absolutely loved it and kept talking about how good it felt afterward.

This was such a thoughtful experience to do while traveling, and I would definitely recommend Unplugged Head Spa to anyone visiting the area. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re in town.

Where do I even start?!? From the moment I met Brianna I felt comfortable. This was my first headspace experience that left me wanting more time! The aromatherapy, the calming spa music, the room temperature and the amazing headspa bed set the foundation for an amazing service. Brianna I appreciate your patience with me and I will definitely return the next time I’m in SD! If you don’t go try this service today, schedule yourself some time in the next week. I've been to unplugged twice and had the most amazing experience at both times! My 1st time was with Jaimie and 2nd time was with Bri. The atmosphere was so calming, quality products and every detail! From the scalp massage to the soothing aromatherapy--was absolutely perfect. The head spa was so soothing to my nervous system.

My scalp and hair felt so clean especially for a gal who wears hair extensions. I always crave for a deep cleansing shampoo!

If you've been thinking about booking a head spa treatment, do it! This was such a beautiful reset for both my hair and my mind. Highly recommend!

Wow. This place was awesome. So clean and just knew I was going to enjoy as soon as I walked in! I got the Wishlist head package with Rachel! I totally felt unplugged and I am ready for this hard week that awaits. Rachel made me feel so relaxed and gives the best massage!!! If you are going to get a head spa I so recommend this place. I highly recommend Unplugged. The owners are responsive and so sweet. My 11 year old daughter needed a scalp scrub after the summer and I just wanted to feel pampered. We both left loving the experience. It was the most relaxing 40 minutes and Beto and Brianna were amazing. We will definitely be back and going to tell all our friends about this hidden gem.
